Lights, Camera, Action!
Our movie night will feature an exclusive screening of three short films from the Women’s Adventure Film Tour 2023. These stories exemplify the core values that drive the Run Antarctica Team – empowering women and creating opportunities through sport. Get ready to be moved, inspired, and motivated by these incredible tales.
1) “MAKING IT” – Breaking Barriers in Sports
Have you ever wondered what it takes to “make it” in the world of sports?
“MAKING IT” delves into the untold stories of four remarkable female athletes who have defied the odds. From Championship Tour surfer India Robinson to former captain of the Australian Diamonds netball team Caitlin Bassett, former Olympic hopeful skier Annabel Blake, and Indigenous rugby player Aneeka Reilly, this film explores the physical and emotional challenges, sacrifices, and unwavering determination needed to carve a path in the fiercely competitive world of professional sports.
2) “A BITCH OF A RACE” – Creating Inclusivity in Cycling
Join cyclist Anna Lena Kempen on her journey to create an inclusive space for women in the male-dominated cycling world.
“A BITCH OF A RACE” tells the story of The Frigid Bitch Race, a race that is tougher, longer, colder, and more challenging than any other. Discover the importance of inclusivity and the incredible strength of women who come together to push boundaries.
3) “SOLO” – Conquering Mountains Alone
Solo is the account of one woman’s mission to run solo and unsupported across mountain ranges on six continents—overcoming obstacles, conquering fears and finding joy in achieving her goals absolutely alone.
